It is strictly forbidden to smoke and use illegal substances in the housing facility, only outside.
Always clean up after yourself in communal areas.
Do not turn off the water heater switch.
Please take out the garbage and put it in the street in the morning between 07:00 and 09:00 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, do not let it pile up in the apartment or on the balcony.
The apartment is cleaned every week (usually Friday or Saturday) so please leave the bedroom door open, gather your belongings, put away the kitchen utensils, and leave nothing on the floor so that it can be cleaned properly.
Keep noise at a level that does not interfere with the study, sleep and comfort of other residents, and neighbours. This includes TVs, stereos, musical instruments, singing, shouting, etc. Reduce the level of noise immediately if asked to do so.
Behave with respect and consideration towards other residents. This includes, dressing appropriately and not using foul and abusive language, not using other residents’ possessions without permission and respecting the privacy of others. As you are here to learn English try to use the language with other occupants of the apartment as this will help you to improve your communication skills.
Guests are welcome to visit but if they decide to sleep over ICTQ must be informed immediately and payment must be made. If you do not let us know, we have the right to ask you to leave the apartment.
When going out, the guest is obliged to close water taps, switch off electrical appliances (including Air Conditioning) and room lighting, and close the windows and lock the entrance door.
Inform the Head of Administration of the school if something is broken, missing or if you think something needs to be replaced. Please also inform us if you think a student is not acting in the correct way. In order to make your stay as comfortable as possible, please inform us if you believe something is needed and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
At the end of your stay please leave the bedroom tidy and take your garbage with you.
The charge for losing a key is 20 EUR, so please take care. Do not give your key to any other person.

Common areas

Common areas are areas shared by different residents. They include a television room, bathroom, kitchen, hallway and balconies. The residents must make sure they leave common areas neat, clean and tidy after using them.


After using the kitchen make sure that the kitchen is left neat, clean and tidy and that dishes have been washed and put away and the cooker and dining table are left clean.
Share the fridge and cupboards with your roommates: on your arrival ask your flatmates which spaces you can use. Do not consume food that is not yours.


Leave the bathroom in the same condition as you find it and leave the bathroom door open after you have finished for airing purposes.
Make sure that you do no leave dirty towels in the bathroom, or personal hygiene products.
Disposable tampons, sanitary towels must not be thrown into the toilet and must be disposed of in a correct way.
Make sure that the floor is dry after you have finished.
Make sure that hair is not accumulated in the sink or bath.
To avoid a queue in the bathroom in the morning, please agree on a schedule of use of the bathroom with your roommates.


Residents must maintain their rooms in a way that does not interfere with the reasonable comfort of other residents Respect your roommate, store your belongings in the closets, and do not invade the room with your belongings.
Do not put items on other people’s beds and do not put your feet on them.
As Malta is a humid island, please air your rooms regularly.
Do not use Gas heaters in the bedrooms.
